Handy Helpers is a not-for-profit service,which specialises in working with older people, to identify their needs, ensuring they can continue to live in a safe and comfortable home.
Whether it’s general home maintenance, cleaning or security assessments, we have a team of people who are experienced, qualified and Garda Vetted to ensure their suitability to work with older people and to deliver these services. Handy Helpers also accepts referrals from family members, statutory agencies and NGO’s (Simon, St. Vincent DePaul etc.).
We provide free quotations with no obligation to use the service.
WHAT WE DO
We understand the needs that older people have, and how important their home and garden is to them. Handy Helpers was set up with this in mind, we know that older people and their families, may want to get some work done around the house but may be wary about who to get to do the job.
We offer complete peace of mind for our service users, our team can carry out a lot of the jobs you need done around the house (download our flyer here), but if we can't, we are willing to liaise with trusted contractors and project manage on your behalf to ensure the job is carried out to our high standards.
We also offer a cleaning and decluttering service, as we know that older people can accumulate a lot of items in the house, which can become an issue, and from time-to-time, may need to clear out some of these older items and make some space in their homes.
